Self-Portrait long-listed for the Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize, 2021

Sally’s self-portrait, painted during the confining winter lockdown of 2021, has been long-listed for the prestigious Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize. From over 2000 entries this portrait has been identified as an outstanding contribution to the self-portrait genre. The work will now be exhibited as part of an exclusive curated digital display; shared and promoted internationally via a dedicated viewing room and Artsy page. Judges for the prize are BBC’s Chief Arts Editor, Will Gompertz; Writer, presenter and curator, Kate Bryan; Internationally renowned gallerist Victoria Miro; Director & CEO of the Science Museum Group, Sir Ian Blatchford; High Court Judge, The Right Honourable Mrs Justice Cheema Grubb, and; Artist, Curator and 2019 prize winner, David Dawson.
